TANZANIA
HISTORY
Little is known about the origin of the country's varieties. However, it would appear that some of the varieties were introduced by the Germans from Cameroon and Amazonia. Today, Tanzania is a small cocoa producer, but its cocoa enjoys a good reputation: production is of good quality, with interesting flavours. The sector benefits from two major advantages: good traceability of the cocoa and the preponderance of organic farming.
