HISTORY
Sao Tome, the birthplace of cocoa in Africa. Brought over from Brazil in 1822, Sao Tome became the world's largest cocoa producer almost 100 years later.
It was the first supplier of chocolate to the United Kingdom, which then introduced it to Ghana.
